Trade Ministry: Israel Technology to Meet US Financial
Industry

----- April 11, 2008 ....... The Israel Ministry of Trade has
announced that Israel technology will soon come face to face
with the US financial industry in both New York and Boston.
The event entitled: Banking on Israel IT will take place between
June 16 and June 18.
The
Israel Trade
Ministry is inviting all Israel companies or organizations
which have innovative IT solutions for the US financial industry
to register for this economic trade event.
"As a result of our success last year, we are proud to
present the second annual Banking on Israel IT conference,"
said Gil Galanos, Deputy Economic Minister for the Government
of Israel.
"The conference will feature company presentations, networking
opportunities and one-on-one meetings
with senior U.S. executives. Leading and creative Israel IT
companies will present innovative technologies and solutions
to decision-makers from leading U.S. investment and retail banks,
hedge funds, insurance companies, and other financial institutions."
The Israel Ministry of Trade and Industry said in a statement
that they are seeking dynamic Israel companies specializing
in: financial technology, enterprise software, security, system
monitoring, storage, modern data center, GRID computing, virtualization
and application infrastructure.
The Ministry of Trade said that 15-20 companies will be chosen
based on the quality of their technology and potential in the
U.S. market. "The selection committee is comprised of representatives
from investment banks, commercial banks, hedge funds and insurance
companies. The number of participating companies is limited
and only those companies who pass the screening process will
be invited to participate," said Galanos.
On June 16 the Israel Economic Mission will sponsor an evening
reception in New York followed by
a conference in New York on June 17 and on June 18 meetings
with financial institutions in Boston.

"Banking on Israel IT presents a unique opportunity for
Israel companies to spotlight their technologies before an audience
of potential buyers," said Yair Shiran, Israel Economic
Minister to North America. "Last year, 20 Israel companies
such as Triana, Kidaro and XIV Information Systems attended
and met with Goldman Sachs, Citibank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche
Bank and other institutions."
The Israel Trade Ministry said that each company would be responsible
for flights, accommodations and per-diem expenses.
The event is being coordinated by the Israel Economic Mission
to North America (New York office)
in cooperation with the Israel Export and International Cooperation
Institute (IEICI). Sponsors include: The Israel Association
of Grid Technologies (IGT), Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, FTVentures
and Susquehanna Growth Equity.
