Tel
Aviv-----March 30.....At least 30 civilians have been wounded
in an Arab suicide terrorist attack this evening in the heart
of Tel Aviv. The terror attack took place near the corners of
Allenby and King George streets.
Israel TV is on the scene showing pictures of fire and broken
glass coming from the cafe. Bleeding terror victims are being
helped to ambulances. From what one can see on TV, it was a powerful
explosion which destroyed the entire restaurant.
The
wounded are being rushed to Ichilov Hospital.
Yasser
Arafat's Al Aqsa Brigades, a group recently declared a terrorist
organization by the United States has claimed responsibility.

President
George Bush speaking from the Western White House has condemned
the terror attack and again has placed Yasser Arafat on notice
for curbing future terrorist attacks. Bush stated: "Arafat
can do a lot more to prevent attacks against Israelis and the
United States supports Israel's right to defend itself."
When asked how Arafat can stop the violence, Bush responded angrily:
"He has a telephone - he should use it".
A
customer who identified himself as Assaf said he had just arrived
when a massive explosion went off in the cafe. "There were
at least three injured that I helped treat," said Assaf,
who is also a medic.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Israel would take all steps necessary,
"using all means possible," to stop the Palestinian
attacks. The
bombing "is a continuation of the campaign of murder"
against Israelis everywhere, said a statement by Sharon's office.
