Did Israel have any roles in these 9/11 events?

The September 11, 2001 terror attacks (often referred to as 9/11—pronounced "nine eleven") consisted of a series of coordinated Islamic suicide terrorist attacks upon the United States, predominantly targeting civilians, carried out on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. That morning, 19 men affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. Each team of hijackers included a trained pilot. Two planes (United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11) crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, one plane into each tower (One and Two). Both towers collapsed within two hours. The pilot of the third team crashed a plane into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia. Passengers and members of the flight crew on the fourth aircraft attempted to retake control of their plane from the terrorists; that plane crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Excluding the 19 hijackers, a confirmed 2,973 people died and another 24 remain listed as missing as a result of these attacks.

Although much communication in New York was directly disrupted by the 9/11 attacks, the destruction of the World Trade Center was viewed and documented by several TV and radio stations. Millions worldwide watched as smoke rose from the World Trade Center and viewed the collapse a short time later. Conspiracy theories grew regarding what Israel knew and did during 9/11. Intelligence sources say that Israel knew that something was going to happen in the States during this period of time but that Israel had no further details. In September of 2006, al-Qaeda released a video where they again took sole credit for the terror attacks and illustrated the planning of the 9/11 attacks. The only role that Israel assumed was the same as every other democratic nation - the Jewish nation cried and offered their condolences.
