New York --- September 9, 2011 .... Ten years ago I stood in New York on September 11 and watched as a commercial aircraft flew low and fast over Central Park. I thought nothing of it until I saw on a restaurant's small TV with many others that it had smashed into the World Trade Center. The following day I was at Ground Zero, amidst a thick cloud of grey smoke reporting for the Israel News Agency.

The only sound one could hear was the drilling of jackhammers as NYPD, Fire, Port Authority and National Guard rescue units searched for life.

The smell of death all but embraced us all.

As we now approach the tenth anniversary of 9/11, New York and Washington have again been placed on a terrorism alert by Islamic groups.

But perhaps the most profound of these terror threats will be witnessed at the UN later this month.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) which will not recognize Israel as a Jewish state and Hamas which has declared for the total destruction of Israel will be requesting the members of the United Nations to unilaterally establish a state of Palestine.

Funny thing is that when the Arabs of "Palestine" were offered a state of their own by the UN in 1948 they rejected it and joined Arab armies in an attempt to destroy the newly born, modern state of Israel.

There has never been a Palestine. There has never been a Palestinian people.

The historical fact is that until the defeat of the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire in World War I, there was no geopolitical entity called "Palestine," no Arab nation ever set historical roots on this soil and no national claim was ever made to the territory by any national group other than the Jews.

There are no Palestinian coins, stamps or musuems.

Between the time of the expulsion of the Jews by the Romans in the year 70 to 132 AD and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in 1918, Israel ("Palestine") was occupied by fourteen conquerors over thirteen centuries, until in 1948 the Jews once again declared their independence.

The United Kingdom of Israel was established by the Israelite tribes with Saul as its first king in 1020 BCE. In 1000 BCE, Jerusalem was made the capital of King David's kingdom and the First Temple was constructed in this period by King Solomon. Centuries before the invention of Islam.

As for the West Bank being "Palestine" - the West Bank was Jordan before the 1967 war with Israel. Israel won that war and that land today legally belongs to ancient and modern Israel.

The concept of Palestine with its own people and its land is nothing more or less than a myth created by Yasser Arafat after the 1967 war. A myth created with the purpose of destroying the only democratic state in the Middle East.

Israel has been and is continued to be used as a deflection tool by the Arab oil rich states in the Middle East. Whenever they confront any kind of domestic problem - from lack of democracy, human rights, women's rights, free speech and poverty - they talk about Israel to deflect and redirect the attention of their citizens.

Most recently, as Syria came under criticism for murdering its own citizens who have been and continue to demonstrate for democracy, Syria President Bashar Assad paid Syrians to go to the Israel border on the Golan Heights and protest for the Palestinians.
These Syrians have no relationship whatsoever with the Palestinians except for getting paid to protest for the Palestinians so called "occupation."

Islamic terrorism has gone from bullets, bombs and missiles to attorneys, international courts and PR events such as the Gaza Flotilla and now the upcoming vote at the UN.

The PLO has retained the London based PR firm Bell Pottinger to represent them and in doing so creating an unparallel amount of incitement against Israel and the Jewish people.

Whether or not the vote for a Palestine at the UN succeeds, which it won't due to a US veto, it will serve the Islamic Jihad purpose of going after Jews and Christians. This PR marketing event at the UN will transcend into increased acts of terrorism and violence in the Middle East, Europe and the US.

It will serve the ultimate purpose of deflecting away from the lack of human rights and democracy in Iran, Syria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lebanon and placing the media light instead on a tiny, stable democracy which through its hi tech, medical achievements and global humanitarian missions has done more to help humanity than anything that Arab oil could buy.

Islamic terrorism will travel quickly from the tearful streets of 9/11 downtown Manhattan to its new New York Midtown address - the UN.

Only the global media can illustrate this and for now Israel's professional PR is lacking due to a lack of manpower and budget.

We can expect much Jewish blood in Israel to pour later this month as the UN votes on unilaterally creating a terror funded, Hamas, Sharia law based Palestine. That is unless those who understand the present physical and economic threats of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) based on the anti-semitic premise of blame the Jews and sell the oil and prior Islamic Jihad bloody, barbaric bombing attacks on the citizens of the US, London, Paris, Madrid, Iraq, the Danish embassy in Pakistan, Bali, Amman and other global nations and capitals speak up before the UN vote on establishing yet another Islamic terror state.
