--- November 11, 2008...... For years, tourists and business
people visiting Israel from New York, London and Paris to Los
Angeles, Tokyo and China had one common challenge. These tourists,
diplomats, journalists, investors and business people became
disconnected from the rest of the world.
The
difficulty of connecting to the Internet while traveling in
Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Eilat created a challenge.
Over the past 4 years the Israel mobile Internet market has
gone through significant and substantial changes, making tremendous
progress over the past year.
The
3.5G cellular network is now active in Israel and more importantly,
the wireless coverage has improved and created strong signals
countrywide which allows downloading at speeds of up to 2.4
mbps.
Now
that the speed and coverage issues have been improved in Israel
the next challenge to be tackled is the availability of the
wireless aircard's in Israel.
Until
recently, one had no choice but to sign on to a 36 month commitment
plan that meant thousands of shekels in charges. This has now
changed.
Ronald
Ronstien has been traveling to Israel for business, as well
as family trips, for years. As the director of a large corporation,
Ronald needs to be in constant contact with his offices.
In
the past I was tied down to the hotel Internet rooms, which
made my trips difficult, says Ronstien.
On a recent trip to Israel, I was introduced to Yair Solow,
the CEO of IL Wireless
Communications Solutions in Jerusalem, Israel.
IL
Wireless offers short and long term air card rentals in Israel.
They were able to offer me a 3rd generation high speed wireless
cellular air cards, which enabled me to be online at ADSL speeds
while I traveled through Israel with my family. My trips to
Israel are now more enjoyable and more productive as I am no
longer limited to my hotel room or Internet cafes for Internet
services.
An
aircard is a device for a laptop, PDA or cell phone that allows
the user to connect to wide area wireless Internet access. They
are connected to your mobile gadget using an available USB port,
PCMCIA card slot or ExpressCard slot.
Ronstien
said that IL Wireless also offers laptop computer rentals and
complete VIP mobile office setup for individuals who dont
have their own laptop or prefer not to travel with a laptop
and go through the hassle of getting through Israel security.
Many
rental customers arriving at Ben-Gurion Airport and heading
for business meetings in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Herzliya, Ra'anana
or Jerusalem have been hesitant in the past to think about wireless
cellular Internet solutions as they were charged for data use
per MB, which made it an expensive solution. IL wireless, the
leading rental company of its kind in the Israel market, offers
an unlimited data package.
Their customers can stay online 24/7, downloading business presentations,
music, movies and more limitlessly and more importantly from
anywhere in Israel. All this while only paying cost-effective
fees for the unlimited data package.
"Israel
has earned the reputation for being the hi-tech research center
of the world," says Solow.
"We have every major high tech organization here from Microsoft,
Intel, Comverse, NICE Systems, Texas Instruments and HP to Cisco,
IBM, Amdocs, AOL and Google. If we can create the world's most
advanced software and hardware solutions, we should also be
able to offer the finest, highest quality and most advanced
Internet solutions to those who visit Israel."
