JEWISH CIVILIANS MURDERED ON PUBLIC BUS Jerusalem----July16......Barabaric
attacks of terrorism against Jewish targets in Los Angeles, Toronto
and Europe climaxed this week with a cold blooded attack against a civilian
bus near the community of Emanuel in Israel. Among the dead was one family which lost three members. A grandmother Zilpa Kashi, 67, of Givatayim, her son-in-law, Gal Shilon, 35, of Emmanuel, and his nine-month-old daughter, Tiferet Sarah. A baby boy delivered shortly after the terror attack died after having suffered brain damage in the assault, in which his mother was seriously wounded, a doctor said. The infant had no pulse after an emergency Caesarean section was performed on his mother Tuesday afternoon, said Professor Lea Sirota, director of the neonatal intensive care unit at Schneider Childrens' Hospital. "We worked on the baby for 40 minutes only to discover he had brain damage, " Sirota said. The boy's mother, whose name hasn't been released, is being treated at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikvah.
Other victims included: Keren Kashani, 20; Galila Ades, 46; Yonatan Gamliel, 16; and Ilana Siton, 35. Eight people died and over 20 were wounded in this latest act of terrorism on Israeli civilians. Israel is demanding that Palestinian security forces must be revamped to stop terrorism, Raanan Gissin, spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, warned, "Until that happens, we will have to be deployed in those areas where we are in order to stop this wave of terrorist activity."
Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, who advocates resuming talks with the Palestinians, told Israel TV that he canceled a meeting set for Wednesday with senior Palestinian officials because of the attack. He said the Palestinians are harming themselves. "Instead of a government of the majority, there is a government of the rifle," he told Israel TV. |
