Arafat Seeks Image of Victim
They
come in street clothes. Usually well dressed. Mixing in with other people
who are eating pizza or shopping for shoes. Then they yell: "God
is Great" and detonate powerful explosives filled with screws,
broken nails, steel balls and rat poison. Israeli babies lose eyes and
feet, young children are buried and countless others become terror victims.
The Palestinian population becomes hostage to it's own savage policy
of hate and violence with their movements being restricted to reduce
threats to Israeli population centers..
The terror suicide bombers call this "resistance".
The attacks
on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were also called "resistance".
Now it has
come time for all free and democratic people in the Middle-East to also
"resist". Arafat can no longer use the image of victim or
spit out the empty words of massacre when it is he who is directly massacring
his own people. Arafat is a documented terrorist who speaks "peace"
in English and incites violence and terrorism in Arabic.
Arafat can not be labeled a "war criminal" this would be too
kind and inaccurate. Arafat is a "terrorist" - as he was 30
years ago, as he is today caught smuggling tons of terror weapons into
the PA from Iran to use against Israeli civilians.
Yasser
Arafat had the historic opportunity to sign a comprehensive peace agreement
at Camp David with Clinton and Barak, instead he simply walked away
with no-counter proposals!
Arafat fears assassination from the Islamic extremists for whom he help
create - through incitement teaching them hate, violence and terrorism.
When the World Trade Center collapsed in a billow of dark, gray smoke,
it was his own people that were seen celebrating and dancing in the
streets.
Arafat was never a "hero" - the man was always a terrorist
who killed innocent children in the 70's and continues today to murder
both Israeli and Palestinian children. He is directly responsible for
bringing more suffering among his own people - for rather than signing
commercial trade agreements for prosperity, he has signed weapon agreements
with Iran for continued terrorism against Israel.
Arafat had the chance to be a "hero" and on the road of false
words won the Nobel Peace Prize. Instead Arafat will go down in the
history books as a documented terrorist leader with the likes of Adolf
Hitler, Saddam Hussein and Joseph Stalin.
It was Golda Meir who once stated upon meeting Anwar Sadat of Egypt
in Jerusalem - "We can forgive you for killing our children, but
we can never forgive you for making us kill your children." Arafat
will never be forgiven for either action.
Refugee Camps or Terror Bases?
Where
do the Arab terror suicide bombers come from, where are they trained
to kill innocent woman and children?
Most come from UN supervised refugee camps. Camps that came into existence
when Jordanian "occupied" Jerusalem, was returned to it's
historic status of Jewish Jerusalem and the historic Jewish West Bank
was retaken by Israel after the 1967 Six Day War.
Let's not just focus on those individuals who teach, exercise and pervert
the religion of Islam with terrorism - the killing of innocent civilians
for the sake of Islam. And all those Palestinians in the refugee camps
who look on and support terrorist teaching terrorist how to detonate
bloody explosives in shopping centers - they are far from "innocent."
They look upon the terrorists as a "heros" who will have 72
virgins waiting for them in paradise. This makes this writer wonder,
what do the female suicide bombers have waiting for them - 72 Tom Cruises
and Brad Pitts?
This is not a war about land - it's a war about all that should be
"Islamic".
The World Trade Center was not occupied territory!
Israel
has finally stopped playing the role of victim. Too much blood, too
many funerals pass every day on both sides.
The IDF has now taken preventative, defensive action by going to where
the terrorists once though they had sanctuary.
The United States was not going to wait for the Golden Gate Bridge or
Disneyworld to be blown up - they went looking for the murderers - wherever
they hid. Today Israel's infantry, armor and engineering units search
for Palestinian terrorists in the dusty alleys of the Jenin and Balata
refugee camps in an operation designed to halt "widespread aggression."
The IDF has stated: "The goal of this activity aims to stop terrorists
and dismantle the terrorist infrastructure within the camps."
Balata is the largest West Bank refugee camp, with 22,000 residents
packed into an area less than a third of a mile square. Israel knows
that this camp also serves as a command center for the Aksa Martyrs
Brigades, a group linked to Fatah that has carried out several devastating
attacks against Israelis.

Israeli soldiers have killed four Palestinian terrorists there, Palestinian officials admitted. One of them, Kayed Abu Mustafa, was a leader of the terrorist Aksa Brigades, Palestinians said. An Israeli soldier was also killed in this defensive action.
Arafat
states that the Palestinians have a right to defend their land. What
land? They have only been a people for 30 years!
Tel Aviv, Hadera and Haifa was not, is not and will never be their "land".
Nor Jerusalem - for which the Arabs built a mosque (Dome of the Rock)
upon the Jewish first temple. It is Arafat who has and continues to
bring poverty and tragedy onto his own people and to the people of the
region. It was the Israelis who were actually ready to sacrafice part
of Jerusalem - divide West from East - for the sake of peace. Arafat
walked away! How many lives have been lost on both sides for Yasser
Arafat?
And remember it was Arafat who operated the Oasis Casino in Jericho,
pulling in a clean revenue of one million dollars a day - not one cent
ever going to his own impoverished children living in a refugee camp
directly across the street!
The
Jerusalem daily Ha'aretz reports an Army Radio account that says
the Arafat's Fatah terrorist movement threatened to launch Qassam-2
rockets at Israeli cities if the IDF stays in the camps. The IDF takes
these threats seriously and will do whatever it takes to locate these
weapons which are pointed at Israeli cities and towns. The IDF will
continue their fight against Islamic terror, regardless of time and
place, and retake the weapons for which Israel gave to the PA "police'
when Israel once thought that they had a partner for peace.
Colonel
Cochavi, a brigade commander of Israeli paratroopers involved in the
Balata operation, called the camp "a greenhouse for hostile terrorist
activities." He said the soldiers "have no intention whatsoever
to harm an innocent person. We are making all the arrangements necessary
to ensure such people will not be hurt."
In fact the IDF has asked all of the residents of the camps to leave
for nearby towns so that they would not get caught in any crossfire.
The Israel Defense Forces have gone through great effort and sacricifce to their own soldiers not to target civilians but have also made it very clear that the IDF would not be stopped from denying militants safe haven.
"The Israeli army will continue to operate every place it finds fit in order to protect the safety of Israeli civilians and soldiers," it said in a statement.
An
Israeli government spokesman, Arie Mekel, said terrorists had used camp
residents as "human shields" against Israeli defensive actions.
"We hope that the Palestinian Authority will finally understand
our message," Mekel told Reuters news service.
"Our
message is that we will not tolerate suicide bombers against the citizens
of Israel, we will not tolerate the terrorist activities and we will
do what it takes to do away with the infrastructure of the terrorists,"
he said.
Israel
continues, since it's creation in 1948, to seek solutions for a real
and lasting peace. One cannot make peace with an Arafat who fears from
the shadows of those who walk near him and speaks two languages for
two audiences.
On
an unannounced quick trip to Saudi Arabia, CIA Director George Tenet
conferred with Crown Prince Abdullah on Abdullah's peace overture to
Israel and also about the U.S. campaign against terrorism, a U.S. official
said Friday.
Israel welcomes
the recent initiative by the Saudis for a "peace plan". Perhaps
the Saudi's will emerge as the real heros of the Arab people - bringing
them both prosperity and peace for their children and their children's
children.
And illustrating to the world that their bible - the Koran - represents
peace, not terrorism.
