Jerusalem----August 13.....The Israel Action Center, an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) comprised of public affairs professionals and volunteers who believe in advancing democracy, pluralism and mutual understanding in the Middle East, have officially launched their new Middle-East advocacy website.

The purpose of the Israel Action Center website is to provide accurate information about the issues and individual countries which comprise the region known as the Middle East (22 Arab countries, Iran and Israel).

The information presented is, predominantly, from recognized Arab, Iranian and (objective) international sources. The Israel Action Center hopes that the reader will gain a balanced understanding of this highly complex region of the world.

What brings the IAC members together is their mutual concern about the distorted image of Israel often portrayed in the international media and expressed in some political circles. The Israel Action Center reaches out to the media, governments, international organizations and individuals, around the world and within Middle East countries, by providing credible and verifiable facts about Israel and its neighbors.

The IAC's members include native-born Israelis, immigrants from Europe, North and South America, Australia, South Africa and Russia. The wide diversity of backgrounds enables the Israel Action Center to apply an unusually broad understanding to the complex issues that confront Israel on a daily basis.

The IAC provide facilities for volunteers who want to use their skills in order to contribute, by giving them a framework, connections, well-sourced facts and the backup of the IAC office.

The IAC aims to expose the misinformation disseminated by a cunning Arab propaganda campaign.

The Israel Action Center focuses on involving the world community in the dilemmas faced by an Israeli democracy defending itself from incessant Palestinian and Islamic terror attacks.

The IAC's objective is to raise awareness of both the inflammatory effect on the conflict and the damage to the world's moral standing that results from the use of inciting terminology. Use of such language by the media and public opinion makers implies a moral equivalence between victim and aggressor.

The use of "spin" and perverted language coming from Palestine, Syria, Iran and corrupt leaders such as Yassar Arafat, is illustrated by turning the verbiage from acts of terrorism, including terror suicide bombings and depicting these barbaric acts as a "popular uprising", suicide bombers as "freedom fighters" and terrorists as "activists" or "militants."

The Palestinian media displays child combatants armed with guns or suicide belts as "innocent Palestinian children" and they use the defense of Israeli civilians from Palestinian terrorists as a "cycle of violence", "genocide", "massacre", "war crimes", "Nazi-like atrocities" or the "excessive use of force."

Doreen Gainsford, the chairperson of the Israel Action Center states: "We aim to coordinate the media and logistical activities of different public, private and non-profit public affairs organizations from around the world in order to maximize the force of their actions with global news organizations and government entities."
