. Thomson Reuters Scientific (ISI) is once
again attending Israel INFO 2010, the leading Israel Information
Conference and Exhibition. This year, to mark the 25th anniversary
of the event, the conference is being attended by Mr. Erik Jan
van Kleef, Director of Sales, Academic and Government, EMEA.
ISI shall
be hosting a lunch at INFO 2010 and shall reveal the new WoK5
(Web of Knowledge) platform and plans for future enhancements.
Mr. Jan van
Kleef shall be making presentations to several Israel researchers
who have achieved a significant impact on articles they have written
in the early 2000's. Amongst those to receive recognition are
Professor Joseph Kalfter, President of Tel-Aviv University, who
has been cited over 1,300 on an article published in 2004. Others
researchers to receive the award are: Professor Yinon Ben-Neriah,
Hebrew University, who has been cited over 2,000 times on article
published in 2000, Professor Yosef Yarden, Weizmann Institute,
who has been cited over 1,600 times on an article published in
2001
Awards shall
be presented to other researchers from the Technion, Hebrew University
and Weizmann Institute.

Israel's Minister of Science and Technology at the "Israel
Info 2010" Annual Conference and Exhibition. The Israel
INFO event is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

to individual preferences, based on the users' activities on the
web, in social networks, with smartphones and offering appropriate
recommendations.
Social networks
- the various types of social networks including Facebook, YouTube,
Twitter, LinkedIn, Yahoo and Google groups, searching information,
moving from information to knowledge and the databases behind
these networks. A special presentation will be provided on: "Saving
Lives Using Social Media".
Among the
presentations to be made on May 5 will be Web Marketing; Internet
Branding Strategies, Social Networking, Web 2.0, Web 3.0, the
use of Google News, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Customers and
