Jerusalem,
Israel --- March 29, 2012 .... Organizers of the pro-Palestinian
Global March to Jerusalem have launched a Website at www.March2Jerusalem.com.
The
Palestinian organizers, who say that they comprise of a coalition
of Palestinian, Arab and international activists, state that the
purpose of the Global March to Jerusalem is to end the Zionist
policies of apartheid, ethnic cleansing and Judaisation.
The
Global March to Jerusalem organizers state that this PR event
is a non-violent civil resistance exercise that will take place
on March 30, 2012 in Palestine and the four neighboring countries:
Egypt, Lebanon Jordan and Syria.
It
should be noted that Jerusalem was never mentioned in the Islamic
Koran, that Jerusalem was never ruled by "Palestinians".
That
the City of Jerusalem is noted in the Jewish Book of Genesis 14:18,
which mentions a city called Salem, which most commentators believe
refers to Jerusalem, ruled by King Melchizedek, whose name means
"my king is zedek", where Zedek is believed to refer
either to the Canaanite deity Sydyk or the word righteous. That
Jerusalem was founded by Abraham's forefathers Shem and Eber.
According to the Bible, the Israelite history of the city began
in c.1000 BCE, many centuries before the advent of Islam, with
King David's building of Jerusalem and the First Jewish Temple
following which Jerusalem became the City of David and capital
of the United Kingdom of Israel.
The Israel
News Agency has learned that the real organizers have been
identified as the Iran government which has paid hundreds of activists
to illegally cross the international recognized borders of Israel.
That Iran is using this PR stunt to deflect the media away from
their production of nuclear weapons and away from Syria government's
brutal murder of thousands of it's own citizens.
That major
disputes have developed between leading, mostly Palestinian protest
organizers in the West Bank and Israel's neighboring Arab countries,
and other "activists" who either live in Iran and Syria
and belong to Hezbollah.
The disagreements
between the organizers and the outside activists began after a
team of pro-Palestinian activists from East Asia and some Arab
countries promoting the Global March to Jerusalem traveled to
Iran. They had meetings with a senior Iranian adviser to the countrys
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran promised financial
and logistical support for the protest, which was not widely welcomed
by the organizers of the protest, who want to refine their protest
message and avoid a physical confrontation with the Israeli forces.
Those in Iran want Palestinian activists to "sacrifice"
themselves for Islamic Jihad (Holy War against Jews and Christians),
to cross the Israel border and kill or injure Israeli troops.
Iran has promised thousands of dollars to those activists who
violently attack Israel soldiers or citizens.
The Israel
Defense Forces (IDF) have said they are "prepared for any
eventuality and will do whatever is necessary to protect Israel
borders and residents."
Israel has
also issued a stern warning to Arab countries and Palestinians
to refrain from approaching the border. IDF soldiers along the
border have been instructed to be on high alert and they will
be prepared with crowd-dispersal equipment. A so-called "skunk"
crowd-dispersal device is being prepared that sprays a harsh-smelling
substance at demonstrators which can penetrate gas masks. The
IDF is also deploying several teams of snipers in the event that
so-called peace protest turns violent.
Hussein Sheikholeslam, an Iranian parliamentarian described as
one of the Global March's organizers, instructed Jewish leaders
in Iran to provide 10 men aged 18 to 22 to be given "the
honor" of acting as the vanguard in breaking through the
Lebanon Israel border fence. The Iranian Jews, according to reports,
would be used as human shields so that Israeli soldiers would
be constrained from opening fire.
Israel Public
Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch, who supervises the Israel
police force, said that border police would be spread out in potentially
explosive areas Friday but would not enter Arab villages unless
needed.
The
guidelines are to allow everyone to mark Land Day quietly. We
will keep a low profile, he told Israel Radio.
"The
issue is not Jerusalem or Israel. Iran and Syria are using
this deadly PR event on Israel's borders to divert media attention
away from nuclear weapons production in Iran and the Syria
government's massacre of her citizens who are demanding democracy
and basic human rights."
Israel Police
spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said thousands of police officers were
on the move throughout Israel today in preparation for Land Day.
He said the biggest deployments were near Arab towns in northern
Israel and in Jerusalem. Israel Defense Minister Ehud Barak has
instructed the IDF to implement a full closure on the West Bank,
which will be lifted in 24 hours barring any unforeseen circumstances.
An Israeli
diplomat told the Israel News Agency that "the real
issue is not Jerusalem or Israel. Iran and Syria are using this
deadly PR event on Israel's borders to divert media attention
away from nuclear weapons production in Iran and the Syria government's
massacre of her citizens who are demanding democracy and basic
human rights."
Americans
For A Safe Israel and other grass roots organizations, will
be conducting a Support Israel, Support Jerusalem vigil and press
conference on Friday, March 30 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Israel
Consulate in New York at Second Avenue and 42nd Street.
Under Israel
government rule, Jerusalem has enjoyed unprecedented freedom,
prosperity and equal rights for all of its inhabitants.
Since its unification by Israel in 1967, Jerusalem has thrived
under the values of democracy, tolerance, respect and freedom
for all religions.
