Jerusalem, Israel ---- March 20, 2011 ..... Part of the following was communicated by the Israel Government Press Office to the Israel News Agency.

As Turkey still awaits an apology from Israel which defended herself from Islamic terrorists dressed as peace loving humanitarians, the Mossad and the Israel Defense Forces went into action this week in stopping a Gaza bound ship filled with weapons.

Israel, which allows thousands of tons of humanitarian aid daily into Gaza, has been the target of terror rockets fired from Gaza.

Today, rocket alert alarms sounded out across Ashkelon as missiles from Gaza slammed into the southern part of the city.

Two Grad-type rockets fired from Gaza slammed into southern Ashkelon in the evening hours. Two Israel residents suffered shock as a result of the missile terror attack and were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

Earlier today, a mortar and two Iran built Kassam rockets were fired by Hamas at southern Israel.

Yesterday a significant increase in Palestinian shelling of southern Israel occurred when 50 mortars fell on farming communities in the western Negev. A man and his wife were injured by shrapnel as they ran for shelter in a safe zone.

Security analysts believe that Hamas is desperately trying to turn world media attention away from Islamic states that are now being challenged by freedom fighters trying to bring democracy into Libya, Syria and Iran.

Netanyahu has warned of 'military action' if Iran continues with its nuclear program by ignoring international sanctions.

As the Iran backed cargo ship Victoria was brought into Israel to unload its weapons designed to murder Israel civilians, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the following: "First, I would like to commend IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz, Israel GOC Navy Adm. Eliezer Marom, the IDF naval commandos and all the soldiers and officers who took part in the operation to intercept this ship, the Victoria."

Netanyahu added: "It is possible to load a very considerable amount of weaponry on a vessel such as this. In the past, we intercepted the Francop, which was carrying, on its deck, hundreds of tons of war materiel equal in value to a considerable part of the ammunition that was fired at Israelis in the Second Lebanon War. You remember the Karine A with dozens of tons. Here, there are several dozen tons. As has been pointed out, there are deadly weapons here and they were transported in ships over a sea route. To all those who have asked, attacked and criticized Israel for stopping and searching ships destined for Gaza, well here is the clearest possible answer, here, today in Ashdod, why it is our duty, not just our right, to stop and disarm such ships."

"The deadly weaponry that you see here originated in Iran," said Netanyahu. "We see the writing. Israel Defense Minister Ehud Barak is holding, in a plastic bag, a greeting written in Farsi, for using some of these weapons. They originate in Iran. They passed through Syria and were en route to terrorists in the Gaza Strip. But, as has been said, their final objective was Israeli citizens. We have already experienced and been hit by thousands, if not tens of thousands, of rockets, missiles and mortar rounds, which have already been fired at Israeli citizens."

Netanyahu concluded: "Everyday, Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas and other terrorist elements are making efforts to smuggle weapons into Lebanon and Gaza. This is the axis of terrorism: Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas and the other terrorist organizations. This is the axis of terrorism in our region and this is the axis of terrorism that we have to deal with and, in the end, break. It is Israel's desire to prevent terrorism, maintain security and create here a chance for peace."

Israel Defense Forces used tanks this evening to open fire on two Palestinian terrorists moving suspiciously in a border area considered off limits. Medical officials in Gaza said the two, known to be terrorists, were killed by the IDF.

Netanyahu has warned of 'military action' if Iran continues with its nuclear program by ignoring international sanctions, following reports that a cargo ship heading towards Tehran with weapons equipment was intercepted by Malaysian police.

Netanyahu stated that world leaders must make it clear that Iran would face "credible military action" if it disobeys sanctions to put an end to the country's disputed nuclear program.

Netanyahu said that Tehran possesses enough material for almost three nuclear bombs.

"They have enriched enough material now almost for three nuclear bombs. They still have to re-enrich it again but that is what they are doing. The only thing that will work is if Iran knew that if sanctions fail there will be a credible military option," said Netanyahu.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also warned Iran yesterday to stop interfering in Bahrain and other Arab states in the Persian Gulf.

Clinton said the US "has an abiding commitment to Gulf security" and that "a top priority is working together with our partners on our shared concerns about Iran behavior in the region."

Turkey, which in the past has sponsored Islamic terror ships posing as humanitarian vessels to aid Gaza, forced an Iran cargo plane en route to Syria to land in Turkey’s southeastern Diyarbakir Airport for an inspection. The plane, a civilian Ilyushin, landed Saturday evening on the orders of Turkish authorities and military fighter planes were on standby in case the plane refused to comply, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported, citing security forces.

"The leadership in Turkey appears to be very aware of the democratic revolutions taking place in Libya, Egypt, Iran, Yemen and Syria," said an Israel security analyst. "Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan might now be realizing that he can no longer bash Israel in order to placate Islamic terror organizations. For Israel represents democracy and if he continued his hostile rhetoric towards the West and supported Iran he just might find himself looking for a new job."
