The Israel Internet News Agency was created in 1995 to provide accurate and timely on-line news from Israel in times of crisis. The Israel News Agency disseminates direct news feeds from the Israel Government Press Office, Prime Minister's Office, Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel Ministry of Defense, the Israel Defense Forces, the Israel Ministry of Trade and the Israel Ministry of Tourism to a global audience.

The Israel News Agency (IINA) in addition to reporting general news, features and editorials from Israel was responsible for reporting and creating Web sites from the assassination of Israel Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and the IDF Shear Yishuv disaster to almost every terrorist attack against Israel's civilian population since 1995 and addressing the Iran Holocaust Cartoon Contest. In doing so, the Israel News Agency was able to provide information to the world public that was only available in Israel. Our links have been used by the Israel Ministry for Foreign Affairs, CNN, Associated Press, USA Today, Reuters, Washington Post, Jerusalem Post, Yediot, Maariv and thousands of other on-line, broadcast and print news media outlets.

Israel News Agency History

Before the world was aware of e-mail and Web sites, before the invention of blogs, the founder of the Israel News Agency (or how it was first referred to as the Israel Internet News Agency) knew that the information highway was the place to be.
After all, who created the Internet? US intelligence or ARPANET. And US INTEL was not about to go away.
For ARPANET the Internet served as a goldmine - a global resource in the gathering of information.
The Israel News Agency wanted to be a part of the early wired infrastructure and was the first source of on-line news to be disseminated on the Internet from Israel.
.
Below are the first Israel Government Press cards issued in Israel for an Internet news gathering and reporting organization.
The Israel News Agency, which started as a one man operation in 1995, today has a volunteer staff of over 12 professional journalists with a reach of up to 60 million people worldwide.
