Largest Pro Israel Event Celebrate Israel Parade 2011 In New York,

New
York ---- June 5, 2011 .... New York City has the honor of kicking
off the largest pro Israel event - Celebrate Israel Parade 2011
on June 5 at 11 a.m.
Over
30,000 participants will march up Fifth Ave. from 57th St. to
74th St. cheered by hundreds of thousands of spectators from New
York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
For the global
Jewish community, Israel is an ancient dream realized. Israel
is not only a democratic state but a homeland full of ancestry,
heritage and history. Those familiar with Israel's brave heroes,
inspiring leaders, courageous society, rich culture and revolutionary
contributions to modern technology, science and medicine cannot
help but feel a very deep sense of pride.

There will
be dozens of floats and marching bands taking part in Celebrate
Israel 2011. The Grand Marshall of the parade will be Joseph Sitt
a New York real estate developer and CEO of Thor Equities and
Chair, Thor Urban Property Funds.
Representing the State of Israel will be Yuli Edelstein, Israel
Minister of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs.
The Salute
to Israel Parade has its origins back in 1964, when thousands
gathered together to walk down Riverside Drive in support of the
young State of Israel. This impromptu walk eventually evolved
into tradition; moving to Fifth Avenue as the Salute to Israel
Parade. Over the years it has become the world's largest gathering
in celebration of Israel and its people attracting worldwide media
coverage.

The Parade
enables the tri-state community to come together in a non-partisan,
apolitical show of unity and solidarity with our brothers and
sisters in Israel.
The Celebrate
Israel Parade will be broadcast live on June 5 from 12 - 2 pm
in New York on MY9 and in Israel on MAKO and YNET.
The Israel

Community Relations Council of NY is responsible for having coordinated
Celebrate Israel 2011.
