Russian media sources have confirmed
that Syria President Bashar Assad was shot by an Iranian bodyguard

Israeli security analyst believes the report to be accurate.
the last 24 hours have we seen Assad? Any photographs or video?
No. Nor will we see any as loyalists who are closest to Assad
have been threatened if any leaked photos or reports reach Western
media. Iran is attempting to take control of the Syrian army and
its wealth of weapons as Syrian solders are now deserting in mass.
I don't believe that the West will allow any Iranian control of

Israeli analyst said that several events have taken place in the
last 24 hours including the Syrian army shooting at an Israeli
border patrol unit. It is believed that this action was coordinated
by Assad loyalists who stood outside the dead President's hospital
room to deflect the global media from the assassination and to
pull Israel into a war with the Syrian army. The leader of the
Western-backed Syrian opposition coalition announced he was resigning.

A fake photoshopped photo of a dead Assad has appeared on the
Web. It is a picture of Assad's head placed on the body a very
dead Qaddafi. A Scott Creighton, if that is his real name, has
attributed the fake photo to the Israel News Agency.
Only problem with that accusation is that the INA never posted
that photo. If one does a Google Images search for "dead
assad photo" another Website appears - as the source for
the dead Assad photo. We will not direct you to that Website as
we believe that by clicking on the link to the Website your computer
may become infected with an Internet virus that will steal your
personal information. We also have reason to believe that this
Website is being operated from Iran.
