Jerusalem
---- April 24, 2010 . Thousands of Jewish and Christian
protesters are now preparing to speak out in New York against
US President Barack Obama and his apparent sacrifice of Israel
for the appeasement of Islamic terrorists.
Tomorrow,
Sunday at 1 p.m. in front of the Israel Consulate in New York,
located at 800 Second Avenue (42nd Street and 2nd Avenue) an estimated
crowd of over 10,000 Jews and Christians will protest US President
Barack Obama scapegoating of Israel and his increasingly hostile
anti - Israel proposals and actions.
"Americans
and other world leaders are shocked by President Obama's reckless,
radical policies that they believe are endangering America, Israel, and
world freedom. Their voices of conscience - and deep disappointment
in President Obama - will be raised on Sunday at this major protest
rally," said Beth Gilinsky, President of the Jewish Action
Alliance.
"The
protesters will be calling on President Obama to stop disarming
America, stop undermining America's best friend and ally in the
Middle East, Israel, and to stand with Israel and America's friends
rather than appeasing Iran, dictators and Jihadists (advocates
of an Islamic Holy war against Jews and Christians as illustrated
by 9/11 and the London Bombings)."
"The
thousands attending on Sunday will loudly express their profound
concern about the President Obama redefinition of terrorism and
de-linking of terrorism from radical Islam all of these
are dangerous concessions weakening our vigilance and imperiling
our safety."
"No US
President has ever directly or indirectly placed the lives of
Israel civilians at the hands of terror groups such as Hamas and
Islamic Jihad," said Israel News Agency Publisher
Joel Leyden.
"Obama
in demanding that Israel cease building in its ancient capital
of Jerusalem and dividing up Jerusalem between East and West would
allow Hamas and Islamic Jihad to place the same lethal rockets
that they fire into from Gaza into Israel to be launched from
Jerusalem or near Jerusalem into every city in central Israel
including Tel Aviv."
The protest
rally against Barack Obama is being sponsored by the Jewish Action
Alliance, an organization well respected for activism and speaking
out on issues of Jewish security. The event will be MCd
by radio talk show host Steve Malzberg and columnist Rabbi Aryeh
Spero.
The pro Israel,
pro democracy rally has been endorsed by AISH Center, Americans
for a Safe Israel, Artists 4 Israel, Children of Jewish Holocaust
Survivors, Christians and Jews United for Israel, Coalition for
Israel, Crown Heights Women for the Security and Integrity of
Israel; Dr. Joseph Frager, Jerusalem Reclamation Project; Assemblyman
Dov Hikind; IsraelAlive; Israel Day Concert in the Park; Jewish
Political Education Foundation; Dr. Michael Ledeen of Center for
Defense of Democracies; Unity Coalition for Israel; Dr. Herbert
London of The Hudson Institute; AMCHA, Coalition for Jewish Concerns;
Stand With Us; Endowment for Middle East Truth; World Committee
for the Land of Israel; Zionist Organization of America; Israel
News Agency, Z Street; and many other Jewish, Christian and Hindu
groups.
Leyden concludes:
"Obama lied to every American Jew and Christian to secure
their badly needed votes as he was running for President. He clearly
told AIPAC that Jerusalem would remain undivided. This is not
merely a question of religion but of physical and emotional security
for every Jewish and Arab child living in Israel. Obama by bowing
down to Arab oil kings and treating Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu
as if he was a third world dictator has done more to bring religious
and secular, right and left wing Jews together than Iran, Syria
and Saudi Arabia."
